HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: Sold to Mr Derek Knowles, Britannia Metals Ltd. 119/193 was the second Jensen FF purchased by Knowles. Knowles was very exact about the specification he had in mind for his replacement FF. The interior specification would be unique, and consisted of a special blue-green leather, bearing the Connolly VM code 3791. Much to the amazement of the staff at Jensen Motors, he also requested the same colour and material for the headlining and sun visors. The carpets were ordered in black Wilton, but even these were to be finished with the same blue-green leather trimming as used on the seating. Instead of the typical Voxson stereo radio / ‘8’ track player being fitted, Knowles had decided upon a special order Blaupunkt radio which would be fitted to the dashboard console. He still wanted the Voxson stereo radio / ‘8’ track player, and this was housed in a modified panel to the back of the central cubby.
CAR ARCHEOLOGY: As at 2006. Original leather interior in place. The car had been colour changed to blue (probably in the 1990s). The carpets required replacement. These were matched to the originals, and the originals were archived and remain with the Museum.
STATUS: Formerly The Jensen FF Museum collection. Apart of a German-based car collection (2015).
