FORMIDA 1960s CHRONOGRAPH £575

Item description: 18K rose gold chronograph watch by Formida, Switzerland. The watch with standard style circular case, and with flat chronograph pushers. Complementing the case, is a rose gold dial with two darker sub-registers. The dial bearing the name Formida. The watch with a standard chronograph movement. The case-back of thin thickness and stamped 18K gold. The watch with a brown lizerd skin strap and gold plated non-branded buckle.

 

Size: 45mm x 36mm

 

Condition report: The watch in very good to excellent condition. Dial original and excellent condition. Case-back typically thin on these watches, and now with some slight denting. The watch working , the chrongraph system functioning correctly (no warranty implied).  The timepiece may have been opened, so it should not be used near moisture or water without being checked by a qualified watchmaker.

 

Background to Formida:Formida were a brand name from the 1960s, known for marketing a range of mid-priced chronograph watches. They were not manufacturers themselves.
